Sustainable leisure wool sneakers for men and women. The upper material of our wool sneaker is made from 100% mulesing-free virgin wool. The extra-thick rubber sole is non-slip. The natural material wool is particularly suitable for our wool flyers as it is antibacterial, odor-inhibiting, temperature-regulating and breathable. This means that unpleasant odors and sweaty feet don't stand a chance! Wool sneakers are also suitable for wearing in winter and summer, as the temperature-regulating wool ensures an optimal foot climate. Wool is also hydrophobic: this means it can absorb moisture without feeling wet and is also water-repellent. The upper material for our wool sneaker is made in our factory in Tyrol. The sneaker is finished at our partner company in Spain in compliance with the highest quality and safety standards.
Yarn from sheep
We only use natural new wool from sheep. Virgin wool is the shorn wool from live sheep. The wool is felted in our factory in Tyrol, Austria, without the use of any chemicals. In this way, we reduce the environmental impact to a minimum. Gottstein stands for a nature-loving and home-loving manufacturer who is prepared to take responsibility for our environment. The guiding principle of our company has always been a quote from Charles Darwin: "Anything that is against nature will not last in the long run".As a family business from Austria, we have been working for generations only with materials that nature has given us. In addition to our fine virgin wool, we use natural materials such as natural cork, natural latex and vegetable-tanned leather for the production of our felt slippers.
